The DreamUp program, powered by NanoRacks, helps accredited schools in the United States design, build and conduct experiments in space on the U.S. National Laboratory aboard the International Space Station (ISS). It is one of the core programs offered by The Conrad Foundation.
Through DreamUp, junior high, high school and undergraduate college students can take advantage of NanoRacks’ two standardized research platforms aboard the ISS. Each platform (also known as NanoLabs) supports 16 experiments (or payloads) housed in small containers. Each NanoLab is plugged into the ISS’ power and communications system by a NASA astronaut for 30 days, offering students a dynamic chance to test scientific theories in the unique atmosphere of space. We call this the ultimate ‘plug and play!’
To fund this exceptional learning opportunity, DreamUp schools can sign up for a unique fundraising program through American Express. Students, parents and friends can simply use their card or donate their Membership Rewards points to the DreamUp program to help fund experiments for the school(s) of their choice.
